The Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is the higher educational university in Batumi, capital of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. Georgia. It is named after the medieval Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli.

The first floor of the building allocated a gym while the second floor contained the church, assembly hall, eight classrooms, art classroom, physics study-room, laboratory and a library. By 1923, a Pedagogical Institute was founded in the building of former Women’s Gymnasium which afterwards turned into a Pedagogical College. It used to prepare the first stage school teachers.
In 1938 the Institute was named after Shota Rustaveli. The first director of the Teachers’ Institute was Khusein Nakaidze
Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University comprises 9 faculties: Humanities, Education, Business and economics, Law, Social and political sciences, Natural sciences and health care, Physics-mathematics and computer sciences, Technological, Tourism. It also embraces the 3 Research Institutes of Niko Berdzenishvili Institute, Agrarian and Membrane Technologies Institute, Institute of Phytopathology and Biodiversity. At present about 6000 students study at the vocational, Bachelor, Master and Doctoral programs.
The facilities and equipment of the Shota Rustaveli State University have been increasing and improving step-by-step, number of students increasing, teaching programs improving, new specialties introduced, qualified staff prepared. The teaching and research processes involve 273 professors, 71 researchers and 387 visiting professors.
In 2011 the university successfully passed authorization and accreditation. There are about 42 vocational, 43 Bachelor’s, 23 Master’s, 8 doctoral and 2 single-level programs. The University preserves its traditional, fundamental fields and at the same time implements and develops new directions in response to the modern demands and requirements.
BSU is a multi-functional educational and scientific institution.
The university has close partnership relations with the leading higher educational institutions within and outside the country. BSU is considered a desirable host for the international scientific conferences and symposia held in various fields of science. Apart from this, the academic and scientific faculty of the university actively participates in scientific conferences and exchange programs in different countries of the world.

On the 27th of August 2018 LEPL – BSU was awarded the authorization by the Authorization Board of HEIs.

Fees Structure: The fees per year is 3300 GEL
Eligibility: The minimum academic records of the students in Physics – Chemistry – Biology (PCB) at 10+2 level in Science stream are 55%.
Hostel Facilities: BSU has a comfortable five-floor dormitory for students and faculty members. The rooms are comfortable. One room is designed for two students. The dormitory is provided with cold and hot water, internet (Wi Fi) and TV. University provides transportation for hosts

In spite of having good marks in my school finals, I was not able to find a respectable medical college in India where I could get admission. That time my friend introduced Way2Georgia to me.
